Biography

Jon Nitta, P.E. is an expert in developing calibrated models of water, recycled water, sewer, and stormwater systems, master planning, and conducting special studies with the use of the models.  He has served as Lead Engineer or Project Engineer during the preparation of water master plans and master plan updates, recycled water master plans/updates, sewer master plans and master plan updates, stormwater master plans and master plan updates.  He has conducted hydraulic analyses leading to pump selections for wells and water and stormwater pump selections, developing operational procedures for scheduled shutdown of major sources of supply; and utilizing the models for selecting sampling sites for Initial Distribution System Evaluation (IDSE) in compliance with the Stage 2 Disinfectants/Disinfection Byproducts Rule.  He is a NASSCO Certified pipeline and manhole assessor.  He has been responsible for the design of water and sewer pump stations, as well as pipelines and treatment facilities.
