Biography

Nadeem Majaj, P.E., Principal Engineer with AKM Consulting Engineers has extensive experience in flood control/drainage and water resources engineering, innovations and technical instruction.  He previously was the Director of Public Works/City Engineer for the Cities of Chino Hills and San Bernardino, and the Assistant Director/Chief Engineer for the OC Engineering Department of the County of Orange. His practical experience is extensive across the drainage and flood control spectrum and he has been responsible for the completion of numerous flood control projects across the County of Orange.  Nadeem is also the developer of the Basin Analysis Software (B.A.S.), which is the state-of-the-art tool for the design and analyses of offline retarding systems and side-weirs.  He also has authored several technical documents and reports throughout his career. 

Finally, his endless passion for flood control motivated him to provided hydraulic engineering instruction to hundreds of students and professional engineers throughout his career. Such included lecturing at three Southern California Universities and the American Society of Civil Engineers (on local and national levels).
